Your Variety, your community.
My dear Variety NorCal friends & family, as we prepare for the upcoming Labor Day weekend, many families in our greater community are sending their children back to school. Providing school supplies is an important yearly program Variety has performed since 1998.
Ensuring that our youth have the proper tools when they show up to learn is an ongoing effort that we accept donations to this fund year-round. I applaud all of you who have joined and supported Variety Children's Charity of Northern California in its efforts to enrich the lives of the children in our community.
Today, we need to fill an urgent need and I am asking for your help.
We are responding to the request for help from a Hayward area elementary school with 700 students serving grades K-5. Located in the un-incorporated San Lorenzo School District it was robbed twice in the last few weeks. The first time the thieves robbed the equipment from the gym. The second time the thieves stole classroom supplies as well as equipment from an on-campus Boys & Girls Club that provides after school programs.
Together with your help and some community partners we are going to replenish the supplies before the first day of school on Monday August 25th.
We need your gift of support to help us, help those in our greater community. Because every child deserves the chance to learn and be a kid, I ask you to make a donation today!
I'd like to hear from you, please feel free to call or email me.
Regards,
Ayesha Williamson, Executive Director
