June 28 & June 29, 2014
Join us as a Donation Volunteer at SFPride to have fun and help support Variety Children’s Charity of Northern California. Sign up HERE
This year Variety NorCal is participating as a Donation Partner which means we must provide a minimum of six volunteers on Saturday 6/28 and twelve volunteers on Sunday 6/29 to collect donations at the gates or along the parade route during the parade on Sunday. In exchange for our participation, Variety will receive a grant equal to a percentage of what we collect for SFPride as well as for the hours we volunteer. The more money we collect in donations, the bigger the grant they give us to impact kids & their families in Northern California!
*Donation Partner volunteers must be able to take part in the collection of donations at the gates, on Civic Center Plaza or the length of the Parade route.
**All Donation Partner volunteers must attend a training session organized by SF Pride.
On Saturday, June 28, 2014 we will need volunteers to collect:
1. At the entrances to the Pride celebration in San Francisco Civic Center.
2. At SF Pride’s Donation booth in the Civic Center.
3. On UN Plaza and Civic Center.
On Sunday, June 29, 2014 we will need people to collect:
1. At the entrances to the Pride celebration at San Francisco Civic Center.
2. At SF Pride’s Donation booth at Civic Center.
3. On UN Plaza and Civic Center
4. At beverage booths located throughout the Pride celebration site.

2014 marks the 44th anniversary of the San Francisco Pride Celebration and Parade. The theme is “Color Our World with Pride” and the event will be held over the weekend of June 28 and 29, 2014. With over 200 parade contingents, 300 exhibitors, and more than twenty community-run stages and venues, the San Francisco Pride Celebration and Parade is the largest gathering of LGBT people and allies in the nation.
The two-day celebration takes place in Civic Center Plaza in downtown San Francisco the last full weekend of June each year. The Parade, which takes place the Sunday morning of the event, kicks off from Beale Street along Market and ends at Market and 8th St. in the heart of downtown San Francisco.
