The Roland Williams Free Football & Life Skills Camp 2003 is the premier football and life skills camp in America. This annual initiative distinctively incorporates life-skills education, entertainment and sports training to provide a once-in-a lifetime experience for underserved youth.

The Roland Williams Free Football & Life Skills Camp 2003 took place on Friday, June 6th through Sunday, June 8th at McClymonds High School in Oakland, CA. Admission was open to 186 full-time 8th and 9th graders of the Oakland Unified School District and community based organizations in Alameda County.

This extraordinary camp - the most inclusive Free Football & Life Skills Camp produced by an NFL player in America - drew 120 campers between 11 - 15 years old from the most challenged and disadvantaged communities in West Oakland. In their wildest dreams, these kids could never have imagined playing football with an NFL celebrity. This weekend not only did they play with the Oakland Raiders, they wrestled, high-fived and hugged them. The 10 participating NFL players inspired our campers to follow strict rules and guidelines, to work as team players both on and off the fields, and to strive to become more positive and productive citizens. Community based volunteers who took on the role of Camp Counselors taught campers the basics of goal setting, goal obtainment, goal achievement, social etiquette, time management, nutrition, self-esteem building and the academic requirements needed to succeed at accomplishing your dreams.
