Our Celebrity Black Tie Gala "Chef's Best" was held at the esteemed Ritz Carlton Hotel, on Saturday February 22nd, 2003.

We celebrated the entire evening with cooking, cocktails, dining, dancing, entertainment, silent auction and awards. Chefs presented by the Ritz Carlton dazzled diners with an array of delicious foods artfully displayed to tickle all discerning palates. A formal sit-down dinner was included.

This year we hosted 200 food enthusiasts from the entertainment, motion picture industry and corporate executives from Fortune 1000 companies. Your participation ensured a successful event and ultimately assisted us in providing life-saving and life-enriching assistance to children challenged by hunger, physical and mental disabilities, poverty, abuse and neglect. Variety of Northern California takes pains to reach out to organizations that provide crucial services to children and families in dire need of relief. We supply them with a needed infusion of money and material that will allow them to deliver improved and continued services. Through grants, scholarships, cultural enrichment programs, outreach activities, and other donations, Variety Children's Charity is able to support programs that will mean a difference between a life worth living and too often, no life at all.

Tickets were $200 per person or tables for 10, $2000.
